The Framework

Everything Here Is Trauma-Informed.
That Is Not a Feature — It Is the Foundation.

No matter which service you need, the clinical standard does not change. Every service at Brain & Heart Healing is built on the same integrated framework: the brain and the heart, in the same room, working together.

The Brain

Neurobiological & Behavioral

Understanding patterns, building skills, and rewiring the responses that no longer serve you. Utilizing ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

The Heart

Relational & Attachment-Based

Repairing trust, rebuilding connection, and finding safety in relationship again. Utilizing Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Grounded in Attachment Theory and Family Systems.

Choose the service that fits your situation below — or book a session and we will figure it out together.

Common Questions

Answers Before You Ask.

The best place to start is a session. You do not have to arrive with the right answer — that is part of what the first appointment is for. If you have a court order or CPS service plan, bring it with you or describe it when you reach out. If you are coming voluntarily and are not sure whether you need individual, couples, or family therapy, book a session and we will work through it together.

Brain & Heart Healing is a private pay practice. Sessions are not billed directly to insurance. Superbills are available upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement — though reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific plan. Sliding scale fees are available for those who qualify. Apply for sliding scale fees here.

They are related but not the same. Anger management focuses on emotional regulation, escalation patterns, and behavioral tools for managing anger before it causes harm. Family Violence Education focuses more specifically on relationship harm, safety, accountability, and family violence dynamics. If your paperwork names a specific service, completing what was actually required — not a substitute — is important. If you are unsure, bring your paperwork and we can review it together.

Yes. Court-ordered clients are welcome and will receive the same clinical care and dignity as every other client. Bring your paperwork — a court order, probation condition, CPS service plan, or written referral from an attorney or employer — and we will review what is required and confirm which service meets the mandate. If the wording is unclear, we can help you identify the right service or advise you to seek clarification from your attorney or caseworker.

The Integration Circle is an 8-week closed psychoeducational group for high-functioning adults who understand their trauma intellectually but still feel it in their body. It is not a support group or a substitute for individual therapy — it is a structured, evidence-informed learning experience grounded in the neurobiology of trauma, based on the framework of Bessel van der Kolk's The Body Keeps the Score. The September 2026 cohort is now open. Learn more here.

Therapy intensives are extended sessions — either half-day (3-4 hours) or full-day (6+ hours) — that allow deeper, faster progress than a standard 50-minute weekly session can provide. They are available for individuals and couples and are especially useful for pivotal moments: a major life decision, a relational crisis, or a pattern that weekly sessions have not been able to shift. Intensives are scheduled separately from regular sessions and require an initial consultation.

Brain & Heart Healing serves clients ages 6–99. Clients under age 6 require a brief consultation call with Stacy before scheduling to ensure the fit is appropriate for the child's developmental stage and presenting concerns.

Yes. Sliding scale fees are available on a limited basis for clients who demonstrate financial need. Standard session rates are $150 for an initial assessment and $100 for subsequent sessions. To apply for a reduced rate, complete the financial assistance form — it takes about five minutes. Apply here.
