About Amanda

The family you have can become
the family you hoped for.

Amanda has spent her career working close to families in their hardest moments. From teaching SafeCare parenting curricula to high-risk families through BCFS to co-facilitating group therapy as an MFT intern at Shades of Hope, she has always been most at home in the room where real family work happens.

She holds a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. Her training in Gottman Level 1 and Prepare/Enrich gives her practical, research-backed tools for couples and families, not just conversation.

Amanda works with couples navigating conflict and reconnection, families dealing with blended dynamics and parenting disagreements, parents who feel lost, and individuals carrying the weight of complicated relationships. She brings a grounded, attachment-informed perspective and a calm presence that makes hard conversations feel possible.

"Most families already have what they need. My job is to help them find it."

How the work unfolds

Steady. Practical. At a pace that holds.

The room

A place to be honest

Amanda creates space for real conversations, not performance. Whether you're a couple in conflict or a family trying to get back on the same page, the goal is always safety first, then honesty.

The tools

Research-backed, not one-size

Gottman Level 1, Prepare/Enrich, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment and Family Systems approaches, chosen based on what actually fits your situation, not a fixed script.

The focus

Families and couples, specifically

Amanda's deepest experience is in relational work. Blended families, parenting disagreements, couples recovering from betrayal or disconnection, pre-marital preparation, and the quiet loneliness of a family that stopped talking.
