Ali's path to therapy didn't start in a classroom, it started in the trenches of the foster care system. As a Behavioral Health Specialist working alongside children and families navigating the state, she learned quickly that healing doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens in relationship, in consistency, in the feeling that someone is genuinely in your corner.
Those years shaped everything about how she practices today. Whether she's working with an eight-year-old who struggles to name what's happening inside them, a teenager who's learned that emotions are dangerous, or an adult who grew up in survival mode, Ali brings the same steady, unhurried presence. She's not in a rush to fix you. She's here to understand you.
"The kids who are hardest to reach are usually the ones who need it most. I just have to be patient enough to wait at the door."
Ali holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Angelo State University and is currently pursuing her Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology, also at ASU. She is trained in EMDR and brings an eclectic, trauma-informed approach that draws from attachment theory, CBT, DBT, and family systems work, always tailored to the person in front of her.
Outside the session room, Ali is a lifelong learner who believes the best therapists are the ones who never stop growing. She practices what she asks of her clients: curiosity over judgment, connection over compliance.

Unfolds
The Room
Ali's office is designed to feel like a pause in the day, calm, unhurried, and safe. For younger clients, there's space for play-based and expressive work. For adults, sessions unfold at whatever pace feels right. There's no agenda to race through.
The Tools
Ali draws from EMDR, CBT, DBT, attachment theory, and family systems, but she doesn't follow a script. She listens first, then selects what fits. For trauma-based work, EMDR can help the nervous system process what words alone sometimes can't reach.
The Focus
Whether the work centers on trauma, anxiety, identity, or family conflict, the goal is the same: helping you understand yourself better, move through what's stuck, and feel more at home in your own life.
