Meet Hannah · Trauma & Couples

You don't have to justify who you are.

Working through traumatic experiences can be one of the hardest, and most freeing, things you do for yourself. Hannah offers a room where you feel seen and respected, without explaining or defending your story to earn care.

About Hannah

Hi, I'm Hannah. I walk with people through what they survived.

I am a fully licensed marriage and family therapist. Adults and couples come to me with trauma, complex histories, identity questions, and the relationship patterns that grow out of all of that.

I am LGBTQ+ affirming. I welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures, with warmth and without judgment. You do not have to translate yourself here.

My hope is simple and serious: that you leave sessions reminded of your strengths, not only your struggles.

"You do not have to justify who you are or what you have been through."

How the work unfolds

Steady. Respectful. At your pace.

The room

Safety first, always

Healing starts when you feel safe enough to tell the truth. We go at a pace your nervous system can hold. No performance. No proving you are "ready enough."

The tools

What fits you, not a formula

Solution-focused brief therapy. CBT. Mindfulness. EMDR when it is a good fit. An eclectic approach shaped around authenticity, empathy, and gentleness.

EMDR

When trauma needs more than talk

EMDR-trained (2024). When it is clinically appropriate, EMDR can help process traumatic memories that keep looping. When it is not the right tool, we use other paths that still move you forward.

For couples

I also work with couples on communication, trust and repair after betrayal, conflict patterns, intimacy and connection, and life transitions that strain the relationship. Same steadiness. Same respect for complexity.

Why this work matters

"I hope you leave remembering your strengths."

Since 2023 I have walked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. That work deepened my respect for how hard it is to rebuild safety, trust, and a sense of self after violence.

I feel especially at home with complex trauma. I bring the same steadiness to couples who are tired of repeating the same fight. You do not have to perform wellness here. You get to be a whole person.
